Nouns are the words which are used as names of places,objects,materials and feelings etc.The word 'noun' means a name.

            

        

                          

                       KINDS OF NOUNS

            There are eight kinds of nouns

1⃣ PROPER NOUN

2⃣ COMMON NOUN

3⃣ COLLECTIVE NOUN

4⃣ MATERIAL NOUN

5⃣ ABSTRACT NOUN

6⃣ GENDER NOUN

7⃣ COUNTABLE NOUN

8⃣ COUNTABLE AND UNCOUNTABLE NOUN

PROPER NOUN

I nouns which name a particular person places or thing are called proper nouns.

COMMON NOUNS

The nouns which name a class of people,buildings,things,objects,birds,animals etc.

COLLECTIVE NOUNS

The nouns which name a group or a collective of people,animals or things of the same kind described as one whole are called collective noun.

MATERIAL NOUNS

The nouns which name substances or matter of which things are made are called material noun.

FOR EXAMPLE-Iron,wood,rice,cotton,rubber,water etc.

1.Ornaments are made of gold and silver.

2.Tyres are made of rubber.

ABSTRACT NOUN

The noun which name feelings,qualities,actions,ideas,or states and other things

GENDER NOUN

It is a name of people,animals or birds on the basis of their biological sex.

 NUMBER NOUN

It has two types-1.singular number noun

                            2.plural number noun

 COUNTABLE AND UNCOUNTABLE NOUN

A thing which can count is known as countable noun(table,chair)and which can not count is known as uncountable noun.
